Competences Services: Expertise for Circular Progress
In our previous post, we introduced Renable's overall service offering and our three main pillars: Competences, SaaS++ and Sourcing. Over the coming weeks, we will take a closer look at each of these. Today, we start with our Competence Services, the expertise that underpins much of what we do.

At Renable, our competence services are grounded in science, regulation and practice. We help clients with advanced assessments, competence building, reporting and advisory services, all tailored to real-world circular economy challenges.
Our Competence Services include:
Detailed Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)
We conduct high-resolution, activity-based LCAs, not spend-based shortcuts. Our
method captures the actual environmental impact at each stage of an asset or
material's life, tied to real activities, equipment and properly sourced data.
The result is LCA output that is accurate, defensible and directly usable in
decision-making, reporting and strategy.
Circular Economy Competence Building
We design training and advisory programmes that build awareness and concrete
capability in circular design, resource loops and value chain engagement. This
ranges from introductory sessions for broader teams to deep-dive work with
specialist functions and management, always with a focus on practical
application rather than abstract theory.
Cradle-to-Cradle
Tracking and Attribution
Using scientifically validated databases and activity-based models, we provide
robust material traceability and ESG factor attribution from end-of-life back
into new use. This allows companies to document where circular materials
come from, how they move through the value chain and what environmental profile
they carry at each step.
ESG Data Provisioning
We supply defensible, granular data for corporate ESG reporting, aligned with
key frameworks and traceable to real operations. Rather than generic averages,
we work with activity-based data tied to specific processes, locations and
assets, enabling clients to strengthen their ESG disclosures and internal
decision-support.
Decommissioning Strategy and Execution
We support decommissioning of assets from both a strategic and operational
perspective, from technical planning and regulatory navigation through
commercially innovative approaches, to hands-on project management. This is
particularly relevant in heavy industry and maritime contexts, where circular
outcomes, safety and compliance must all be balanced.
WEEE
Compliance and Strategy
We provide expert guidance on Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE) compliance across EU and national systems. This includes strategy,
documentation, data and practical approaches to managing WEEE flows in a way
that meets regulatory requirements and supports circular objectives.
As with our broader services, work carried out for small and medium-sized companies will often be eligible for public support schemes. We advise on this as part of our engagements.
Taken together, these competence services help our clients move from circular ambitions to concrete, well-documented progress, with decisions based on solid data, regulatory insight and real operational understanding.
We will soon return with more detail on our SaaS++ solutions and our circular sourcing services. In the meantime, you can access our overall service offering here
